For the first time in its long history, we are opening the doors to Quinta do Vesúvio to offer two unique experiences showcasing the immense history, tradition, and unique character of ‘The Queen of the Douro’. This is a rare opportunity to explore the iconic Vesúvio estate, its historic vineyards, and to taste our very best Douro DOC wines and Vintage Ports.
For the first time, we are offering a unique opportunity for a private day visit of this remarkable quinta with a dedicated guide. Take in the magnificent estate house and chapel; step into the granite lagares in the winery where grapes are trodden by foot; and tour the mountainous vineyards across seven hills. You can choose to enjoy a tutored tasting of Vesúvio’s finest Vintage Ports and Douro DOC wines either among the barrels in the old winery, or in the main house’s historic Portrait Room. Afterwards, you will be served a traditional Douro lunch on the balcony, which offers spectacular views over the river. Prices start at 450€/person.
A Douro journey like no other. Beginning with a private boat trip to Quinta do Vesúvio, you will also enjoy a special guided tasting of Symington wines and lunch on the terrace overlooking the river. Winding your way upriver towards the spectacular Valeira Dam, you will be served local aperitifs paired with our wines. You will be greeted with drinks in the beautiful Vesúvio gardens, followed by a traditional lunch on the terrace overlooking the river, paired with our family's wines and ports. In the afternoon, you will visit the estate's winery and cellar as well as explore the vineyards. The train will take you back to Pinhão along the river. Prices start at 700€/person.
